#15 Promote Your Shop

Tell your friends, family, and everyone who knows you on social media about your new shop. Offer them huge discounts, and make them buy through Etsy. Friends often want to buy from you directly, explain to them that it would help you out a lot if they bought through Etsy and would leave you a verified review.
 
You can even have friends buy online and give them the item for free and reimburse them what they’ve paid for in exchange for a rave review, this really helps you get your shop rolling quickly.
 
Post your items on Pinterest, your Facebook page, Instagram and anywhere else. If you have great pictures you can get a lot of traffic from these sources going viral.
 
This list may seem like a lot of work, but it will set up your shop amazingly well. Doing all of these things quickly and aggressively can easily get your shop 10 sales in 3 days. When a new shop gets a lot of sales quickly Etsy takes notice and moves them to the front of the line. It will make an enormous difference on your shops short term and long term success.
