#6 Setup Your Policies

Shop policies are a boring subject, but they are very important. You need to fill out every policy, even if it seems like it’s an obvious policy such as the types of payments you accept. Check out what other shops in your industry have put in their policies and make changes to fit your shop.
 
As you grow and make sales you will think of new things to add to the policies or new situations to address. Don’t just match someone else’s policies though if it’s something you can’t support. If one shop offers to pay for return shipping and that’s something you can’t support, then don’t offer that policy.
 
Don’t spend too much time on this or worry about getting it perfect, just make sure everything is filled out and looking good. You can always change them later.
